The production process of this line is carried out at high pressure and it is produced in an autoclave reactor. The process begins with the phase of ethylene compression until the operating pressure of the reactor is reached, where in the presence of reaction initiators the polymerization happens continuously. The molten polyethylene, product of the polymerization, is fed to an extruder, where it is mixed with different additives.
The granules are dried by centrifugation and transported to the homogenization silos to be packed in 25 kg bags.
The Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) line has a capacity of 80,000 TM per year to manufacture Polyethylene Venelene® required in the following transformation processes:
• Injection (caps, toys and general use utensils).
• Film extrusion (thermo-shrinkable, coextrusion, lamination, pre-cut bags, boutique bags, automatic packaging).
• Extrusion coating (substrates such as paper, cardboard, aluminum, bOPP, mOPET).
• Flexible Pipes extrusion.
• Blown extrusion (containers for different uses).
